Movies: Child 44 (15), The Duff (12A), Avengers: Age of Ultron (12A) & Avengers Assemble (DVD – 12A)

Child 44 (15) – what’s it about? Set in the Stalin era in Russia, a military policeman investigates a series of child murders.

This was really depressing; afterwards I was like omg I have to go watch something that isn’t so well dark. That said though it was a good movie with interesting characters and a good plot but it just made me feel drained afterwards.

The Duff (12A) – what’s it about? A high school senior discovers she’s labelled as a “Duff” by other students and she sets out the challenge her place in the school hierarchy.

I thought this was going to be really bad, like really really bad but I was kinda surprised by it, it made me giggle in bits and it was actually quite entertaining.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (12A) – what’s it about? Stark creates an artificial intelligence with the help of Bruce and well it turns out to be not of the good, can the Avengers save the day from the planet being destroyed?

This was bloody brilliant, I saw this as part of an epic triple bill at the cinema. Even though by the end of that I could barely stand it was so worth it. This movie lives up to the quality of the other Marvel movies, with humour (it has some fab one liners), action and story, if you loved the other Marvel releases go to the cinema now and check this out!

Avengers Assemble (DVD – 12A) – what’s it about? Loki and his army attack earth to try to enslave it…can the Avengers come together and fight this foe and stop him from taking over the planet.

I re-watched this at the cinema and it made me remember how awesome it was, it is another smash Marvel hit, comic action on the big screen, this one doesn’t disappoint, if you love the Marvel movies filled with action, humour and cool superheros, you’ll enjoy this one.
