What’s it about? Based on the books and the first in the
trilogy this is – as the title says the unexpected journey of Bilbo – Gandalf
and all their dwarf chums as they go to take back their city from the dragon…
Ok so this is the part where I get shot down with arrows of
fire – don’t get me wrong I love fantasy stuff and this is alright – but it's basically not as good as Lord of the Rings and is kind of the same all over again – hours of travelling – with the
occasional scuffle! Why they had to make this into three movies – it would have
been one epic one or maybe two great ones – but three is just dragging it out!
I like the characters, the concept, the races – as in all this type of stuff –
and the battling and the skirmishes – it’s just kind of one of those ones you
have to endure to get to the good bits…
